Kakuma refugee camp is located in the Turkana district in north/west Kenya. The refugees from Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda, DRC (and the list goes on) are dependent on the food WFP, UNHCR and other organizations provide. -

This selection includes photos taken for the Church World Service (CWS) and Action by Churches Together (ACT).Regions, like Nias and West Timor, continue to face food security issues that lead to undernutrition. This complex issue is battled through multi-micronutrient powders, specific education programs, and disaster relief efforts. -
"Romania" vs "Brazil" Sep '08
On the "Little Field" at the Jakarta International School (JIS) in Indonesia a game was played between "Romania" and "Brazil" in the Under 6 Jakarta Youth Soccer (JYS) League. The game is a symbiosis between the helping hand of a parent, a few more experienced six year olds (the rest being 5), and the somewhat unpredictable movements of the ball, that shift the swarm to a new location. -
Bangladesh Mar '08
